چکیده

We stress-test the limits of power group identity in context cooperation by constructing laboratory economies where participants confront an indefinitely repeated social dilemma as strangers. Group is artificially induced random assignment to color-coded groups, and reinforced initial task played in-group fixed pairs. Cooperation in the Short and in the Long Run

The emergence of cooperative behavior in a competitive world poses something of a puzzle for classical theories of competition, since it appears to be inconsistent with the pursuit of self-interest by individuals. Of course, cooperation among closely related individuals makes sense if it increases the fitness of a specific gene (Hamilton, 1964). But this leaves open the question of why cooperat...

Flow Visualization by Conditional Sampling of a Single X-Wire Probe in a Very Long Run Experiment

Flow visualization techniques using tracer markers such as die, smoke, hydrogen bubbles, etc., have been widely used in experimental investigations of large scale structures of a variety of flow fields. They have played an important role in understanding the physics of the coherent structures' formation and evolution in the transitional as well as the turbulent regions of the flow fields. Howev...

Discrimination, social identity, and coordination: An experiment

The analysis indicates that in spite of not exhibiting discriminatory behavior when...
